I've seen that people keep asking questions about message editing, such as
Quote:
I would edit the post if I could see how? How do I re-edit a previous post?

Does anyone (if noone, Frank Naude does) knows what requirements have to be met in order for someone to edit his/her own message?

There've been rumours that it is impossible to edit a message which has been replied to. Also, I think I heard that "time" also counts (such as, you can't edit a message if it's been 3 hours since you've posted it).

What is the final answer to this question? I guess we could (or, even better, should) add it into the OraFAQ Forum Guide (not that many users actually read it, but we'd have an excuse).

See "Why can't I edit my own messages?" at Forum FAQ.

Best regards.

Hmmm, but what about the case where we see people erase their message to [no message body] after an answer was already given, making the response look like a non-sequitor?

I know I have seen this just in the last few weeks.

Thank you, Frank! So, "reply" is the only reason.

(I could have checked it myself /forum/fa/1606/0/)
