For some reason someone uninstalled oracle from my server so my website is down and I need to get this resolved quickly. Who ever uninstalled oracle created a tar.gz file containing the following files:

/usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/flash_recovery_area/XE/onlinelog/[somefile].log
/usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/flash_recovery_area/XE/onlinelog/[somefile2].log

/usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/server/dbs/hc_XE.dat
/usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/server/dbs/init.ora
/usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/server/dbs/lkXE
/usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/server/dbs/orapwXE
/usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/server/dbs/snapcf_XE.f
/usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/server/dbs/spfile2init.ora
/usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/server/dbs/spfileXE.ora

/usr/lib/oracle/xe/oradata/XE/control.dbf
/usr/lib/oracle/xe/oradata/XE/sysaux.dbf
/usr/lib/oracle/xe/oradata/XE/system.dbf
/usr/lib/oracle/xe/oradata/XE/temp.dbf
/usr/lib/oracle/xe/oradata/XE/undo.dbf
/usr/lib/oracle/xe/oradata/XE/users.dbf

What can I do with these files to get the database up and running on dev1? Do I just do a clean install of Oracle XE on dev1 and replace the above files?

Do I need any more files?

tar -xzf XE.tar.gz

above should place all the files back in their original locations & then just startup the DB

Thank you for the response. Do I need to install the database first?

Understand & realize that I only know what exists for you is what you post here.
If the ORACLE_HOME software directory tree was removed/deleted, then the Oracle software needs to be re-installed.
