Hi Gurus,

I am very new to DB administration and got a task to do.
I have to migrate Oracle 10g DB from Windows to Linux. Eventually it has to happen on the same system. That is uninstall windows, install Linux and install DB with data.

Currently i am concerned about premigration steps.
Like what are the things i must take in consideration before migration.

Can you help me to figure it out?

Thanks in advance.

Hey Maven,

Did you get your task done?

Even though you want to do the migration on the same server by uninstalling Windows and Installing Linux, you might need another server with Linux, so that you can Migrate to that server initially and then back to this server.

Let me know if you got your task done.

Thanks
Munna
