Hello friends
i installed oracle8.1.6 on linux 7.2.it is installed
properly but at the time of creating database it stop
responding. Database creation stops at 80% at the time of database initialisation.

Oracle 8i requires a glibc patch for Linux.
The patch is available somewhere on the Oracle Technet web site, otn.oracle.com
