Hello,

I have Oracle9i installed on a Redhat Linux server. I'm trying to access the Oracle Database through a Client from a Windows XP/2000 system, but get the following error message: ORA: 12560: TNS protocol adapter error. Please suggest what is to be done to overcome this problem.

Thanks and Regards,

Anurag.

Show the listener.ora file on your linux machine, and the sqlnet.ora and tnsnames.ora on your client machine, and the command line which caused the error.
