Hello,

I have oracle8i Release 8.1.6.1.0 on Red Hat Linux 7.2

The problem is, while working suddenly "database is not available" message is popedup.

I don't uderstand why it suddenly gets shutdown.

Can anyone please help me to search what can be the reason behind it?

Regards,
Kinjal

Any errors in the DB's alert.log file? Also, look for log and trace files in the DB's BDUMP directory.

Best regards.
