Hello,
I am trying to install Oracle 9i R2 (9.2.0.4) 32 bit in SUSE9. When I ran runinstall I got following error.

Error ocurred during initialization of VM
Unable to load Native Library: /tmp/OraInstall2006-08-01_02-39-44PM/jre/lib/i386/libjava.so: symbol __libc_wait version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference.

Any input will be appreciated.

For this you need to install J2SDK (JVM).

I had also same problem....
You should patch p4198954_21_LINUX.zip.

1. Install JRE 1.3.1_1x version only
Change the JRE_LOCATION in Disk1/install/linux/oraparam.ini
Then execute the ./runInstaller

Also export variables ORACLE_BASE/ORACLE_SID
