Hi,

I forget the sysdba password....

Is there have any password recovery?

If duon't have choice I have to reinstall the Oracle.

Can you direct me to the link that teach me

How to uninstall Oracle 10g?

what OS name & version?
Which version of Oracle to 4 decimal places?

Hi,
If you forget sys password then you should connect with sys without password like
SQL>conn / as sysdba


and reset sys user password.

after that you can use OUI Oracle Universal Installer AND UNINSTALL ORACLE SOFTWARE WITH DATABASE.

restart your machine

DELETE your password file and recreate it.

How to do so?

I using the Oracle GUI form to create the password.

You mean have to type "dbca" again after delete the file?

GOTO $ORACLE_HOME/dbs


orapwd file=orapwSID password=oracle entries=5

orapwd file=orapwSID password=oracle entries=5 FORCE=Y--if password file already exist.
